About Me

Hej! My name is Alice and I use she/her/hers pronouns. I am from Chicago, IL (the actual city, not the suburbs) and I go to Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. I am a senior biology major with a geography minor and a community and global health concentration. In the future, I hope to get a Master’s in Public Health and become an epidemiologist (which is perfect timing especially with this current pandemic).

I decided on the DIS program in Copenhagen because of its location in Europe, unique components to travel within other parts of Denmark and Europe, and its extensive public health course offerings.

Along with other fun electives like podcast production or criminology, my core course is on the healthcare systems of Denmark and Northern Europe and I am a research assistant on HIV and reproductive technology.

Because of the pandemic, I have been reflective on my goals and aspirations that I started bullet journaling. This blog will be another outlet for my reflections and documenting my experiences as I study away in Copenhagen. So you’re welcome to follow along as I undergo this adventure 🙂
